I like this author and I really enjoyed her other books. D.D. Warren series and Frankie books. This one was NOT like them. I will not be reading book 2. There was NO character development for me. Cain was boring, no personality and Maggie was to much of a soggy wimp. Normally I can read a book in a few days from this author. This book to me 10 days. Wasn't interesting enough.
