Yes well those days are gone my dear! I'm giving up reading and reviewing her books. Her butterflies are nothing but a bunch a bullies!!!

It's gross and I'm over it!!! She may not be responsible for the hate but she does feed it in her newsletters. I read it this morning and I knew this shit storm was coming

I am so sorry this happened Chantal. Authors need to accept criticism. In the past, I always see you reading her books. Haven't reany of her works though and after this fiasco, never will.

Well I don't regret reading her books but I'm done with all this. It's not worth the trouble

Seems a very juvenile reaction, don't worry. The whole idea of this site is to share honest opinions and not be pressured to against them. Sorry Chantal, don't let it compromise your integrity.

I'm sorry to hear about this Chantal. It really bothers me when we as reviewers give our honest opinion and we get shit for it. Don't know this author, never read her work and don't think I will be interested in even wanting to. Don't let the bull shit get to you, just do your thing girl!

Jordan Silver can be an ass of an author! I once made a comment on her fb page, the comment was not rude, but I wasn't one of her ass kissers and she went off on me. It was absolutely insane!

If we can't say what we feel about a book when we wrote a review here, what's the point to log in here? If an author only want to hear positive review, he/she don't need to come here. Totally ridiculous.

WOW THAT'S just not right! I don't understand as I was one very loyal reader and reviewer of her books and just read any of my reviews of her books, I mostly stay neutral or I love it!!! This one was a step too far for me

I completely agree this site would not exist if it wasn't for the honest reviews we post here. No one pays us to do this we do it for the pleasure and to voice our concerns and opinions about the books we read. It's sad that a few should try to ruin the pleasure for everyone :)) thanks for your support

I was part of that group for a while since last year but I never comment or talk until they threw me under the bus for not liking this book. I can't lie people and say it was amazing when it made me sick

I don't know this author, haven't read any of her book, and after the snapshot of THIS book, I won't touch her book with a barge pole. However, I do read your reviews, and I do believe in them. Even if I don't agree with half of them, I still enjoy the different view. This author, IMO, lacks moral and social responsibilities. So if there is anyway to report this book as inappropriate I would, and she should call of her "butterflies" and act appropriately as a peer should. NOT bully someone because she is adult enough write an immoral book but not adult enough to take criticism. So I'd say you win, in all departments hun. I just hope there was a way to send this book to a blackhole!

I'm sorry that happened! :( So unprofessional. If she can't take criticism, then she shouldn't sell to the public.

YES but I draw the line at a rapist masquerading as a sadist. Everyone can dress it up however you like but there was no prior understanding before he engaged in forceful physical sexual acts on her here. Also, it's an insult to have her fall for him after everything he does to her. Sick IT wasn't for me but read it and I'm entitled to my thoughts. Just saying :)) xoxo

Honestly, I know we don't agree on many books Kiki but on this issue of bullying we are on the same page. It's wrong and an author should Perpetuate hate!!! That's NOT right

You were right on to alert what you found wrong in your review. A review is for you and other readers not the authors

It's a hard read for those who have issues with rape and I'm honestly not upset if they flag my review! If it happens I will just built a bridge and get over it, like all these haters should have done! It's not for everyone and it wasn't for me

Thanks my dear friend Vashti I know you love her books as well. I know you had issues with this one. I'm questioning why choose me for their hateful comments most of my review of JS books are good ones or just neutral ones.

I was surprised when he left her chained repeatedly. I was confused at first as to logistics of the whole situation.

This is just insane! And so disappointing - especially since you and your reviews got me to try some of her books (like others)!! I had such a different experience with one-starring a book and having the author, Cassia Brightmore, reach out to me in regards to questions I had. She was such a sweetheart about it all and respected my opinion/review. It's a pity that not all authors can be like this.

Sorry they bullied you, sweetie! Others just won't stop doing it. I love her books but her other fans and the author herself can't accept negative reviews/comments. I used to follow her facebook but when her books got bad reviews or even when she was asked when the next book will be out, she doesn't like it so I just wait for new releases. But you don't deserve to be treated this way.

What's the point of reviewing a book if we can't be honest.

I agree, it's not worth it. There are a lot of books you can read and I'm glad there are still nice authors out there who are so open to questions and feedbacks.

Yes and when you sell a product like a book you have to allow that others are not all going to love them.

First of all, i totally agree with you on sadist's review and appreciate your efforts of awareness. secondly, did the author shared her hate ? :I and i think you should not care for haters and keep giving your true opinions..

She actually sends out these letters to her Followers aka butterflies (I was one here) that talk about her hate for "narrow minded" reviewers like me who don't understand about The content and then she says we (the negative reviewers) are taking her content too seriously! Hello!!! She just told everyone she is taking our reviews too seriously but we can't take her content seriously??? 
She is often negative or angry and this helps perpetuates her negativity to others who are her fans (from what I have seen on her fan page and her news letters).
But honestly, on my Facebook was a step too far! 
My family could see this and that is NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME. I didn't post on Facebook I posted on Goodreads!

in my opinion what you can do is avoid the haters and keep going with your life because haters gonna hate no matter what :)

Yup that is very true and that's what I'm going to do. I don't like that people hate but at the same time I can't stop it. I'm good today and I'm going to keep reading and reviewing here until Goodreads blocks me and my reviews (which has never happened but had been tried several times). I love reading and it's my personal pleasure to talk about books with others. I just like talking about books after I read them with others and sharing my thoughts. That's it!

Chantal, I read your review and you gave an honest opinion/reaction to a very disturbing book. You did nothing wrong. But an author bad mouthing any review is just outright unprofessional and should not be tolerated, even by her fans and followers. I'm glad to hear this isn't stopping you from reviewing. Don't give in the the bullies.
