wow seriously, that's just dumb. I'm curious as to know which book it is? if you don't mind me asking.

I've read some reviews out of pure sadism on my part... believe me, your review was nowhere insulting towards the author and your "trashing" of the book was not even 10% of another 3 reviews I read. In those other reviews there was mentioned that the book should be banned but not in yours.
What I'm trying to say is that your bad opinion (which is YOUR OPINION) is not even one of the worst out there for the book. So I don't understand why they're bothering you.
Just ignore the haters, you've got plenty of people (me included of course) that value your opinion

Totally ridiculous! Don't let them influence you. Besides, book didn't get banned from amazon because of ONE negative review.

I'm doing that and I decided no more books from this author. She seems to enjoy the drama and contravesy! I'm not against anyone of anything but I won't allow an author's "butterflies" fans to intimidate me.

I don't understand it either! I actually waited a while to post specifically so I would be able to write a very detail and less offensive review. Please believe my first review was way uglier than this. Lol

Your review must have been really in depth to trigger such a response. Please dont stop reviewing. Fan girl reviews don't give enough info the negative reviews often do

You know how much I love her books but I wish there's a trigger warning so readers would be aware of it. And Amazon shouldn't have banned it because there are a lot of rape scenes and abuse in other books and they're still available on Amazon. As for the author's fans, I'm one of them too but I don't go bully other readers who don't like her books. And I also know the author doesn't like negative reviews/comments too which is unavoidable because no one can please everybody. No matter how great a book is, there will always be a negative review. IMO.

I love your reviews. Whether I star the same or not, your reviews are always entertaining to me. You are entitled to your feelings. Last I checked Amazon doesn't remove content because of a negative review. I am sorry they are getting on you for no apparent reason. People should think. Keep doing you, don't let these "butterflies" get to you, they will fly away soon hopefully.

And unless you were abusive in your review, I doubt they can do anything about your review in goodreads!

I know Bookl and I was a fan too. I hated giving her a negative review but I can't continue to overlook the hate that she supports and allows to flourish in her group of followers/fan. She shouldnt be taking my comments so seriously. I never insulted her at anytime during any of my many reviews of her books. I think to save me some time and I will avoid her books.

Haha it's their job to fly away I guess! I don't agree with them censoring her book this way at all. Loads of other equally disturbing books with questionable content are on Amazon and they DONT GET BANNED!
It's not right that they do this at all.

I'm not going to stop reviewing but I will stop reading her books and I won't open myself to personal attacks. We can disagree with the content and you can hate my review but attacking me personally.... that's a step too far.

I don't think I was abusive but I was upset but thanks for the information about FB my oldest son took care of it for me.
Got to love technology I wasn't happy her book got banned however there are way more disturbing reads that stay on Amazon everyday.

YES it scares me too that why I love Goodreads. I just check in before I read to make sure it's ok and safe for me. I have had a few slip by because I tried them anyways.
But mostly I avoid books with content like this.

I understand, dear. We talked about about her books a couple of times already. How much we love them and all but she just can't accept negative comments at all.

Congrats! You must be pretty powerful! Must mean you are doing something right. Your review kept me from wasting my time. So thanks. Although Amazon bothers me. Not sure what their standards are but they seem random at times.

You're very right about their standards because I have read way way worst books that are still available on Amazon.

Thanks Dawn and I'm still going to do my thing. I never meant to make anyone mad but if someone is looking for someone to blame, someone will always find the blameless an easy target. I'm not mad at them at all anymore because it's just their hate that keep them together. This group dynamic is very unhealthy IMO.

Chantal, you completely hold the right and privilege to express your opinion, so never feel apologetic. Either way, I just read your review, and though there are many books with sadistic- masochistic, stockholm syndrome tropes, this one glorifies brutal rape and brutal violence to the next degree.

Thank you Katerina I felt that way too. Like all you have to do is rape someone and they are going to love you. And that's a good thing? For me no it wasn't and it really upset me. I knew it would be brutal but I was thinking just painful sex and not RAPE!

Thanks, I'll mark it as a huge no. I can't stand rape. BTW I think if you were able to stomach this you should read The V Girl. It's the oppossite of what this book is about. It's a book full of anti rape messages and anti slutshaming. It makes a very great contrast of what is erotic, rough sex between consenting adults and then call it like it is. I'm a survivor and wish those messages were known by more people.

For this book I had done a buddy read with Carvanz and I managed to skim over the hard scenes and read the blah blah between.

Btw I cried thru most of it. It was a hard book for me to read and i won't read a book like this again if I can avoid it.

I wouldn't discount Vgirl negative reviews (unless they're DNF's or coming from a wrong version) because it's somehow grim and it's safe with exceptions and those exceptions might bother you. But if you get the KU version and read with an open mind and anti-slutshaming mind you might enjoy it as much as I do.

I'm a fangirl and a survivor so my review is biased but maybe Kriss', and Bgurls review can convice you.

I think V Girl isn't at all like the sadist. They couldn't be more different IMHO I laughed a lot and only cried once and didn't have anything to do with rape, it was more because a stupid secondary character was playing with the heroine, but i think Bgurl can give you a better information because again... fangirl!
