This is easier to understand than I expected. I’m not sure I’m getting everything - I can’t keep the CIA backed military coups straight but I take the point: he was behind most of them, and we need to grapple with that, try to understand why he thought he needed to do that. I guess thinking communism was like expansionist Germany and so nothing was beyond the pale.
