I’ve looked online so I’ve read some of the things the British Army did to the hundreds of civilians they took away and held captive, held without charge: water-boarding, injections, electric shocks, mock-executions, starvation, sleep-deprivation, sensory-deprivation, harassment by dogs, dragging people behind vehicles.

It’s like, nothing’s real when it’s happening in the north. It’s only real pain when it happens to other people. It only matters when somebody else is dead, and then they start peace-groups, and then they write songs saying that it’s in our head, and they sing that, and they say that, as though none of it happened.
