Cronan’s words were clear. Grim’s memories of her weren’t just hidden, they were gone. For good.

She fell to her knees with a raking sob.
The bond between them was gone.

“Throughout history, souls have been matched.”
Isla blinked. Matched souls? She didn’t understand.
“These pairs are matched not only in soul, but in power.” The woman looked at Isla with true heartbreak in her eyes. “You are the first to have two souls bound to yours. Two perfect, fated matches. Your soul is split, Isla. It will continue to split. Until you die—or kill one of them.”

So, though it felt wrong, though it pained her to her core, though it took every bit of energy she could summon from the pit of her strength, Isla reached for those thin threads that still bound her to the men she loved . . .
And severed them.

“Please—please tell me you can feel her.”
Oro’s own voice was hardly a whisper. “I can’t.”
