Following a few skipped sequences, the dictator of her kingdom (The Kingdom of Valor) wants to use her as a weapon in the War he is planning, to overtake all the other kingdoms and be the most powerful and strongest ruler of all.

So Lysta gets pulled into the Kingdom's politics, then she was also watching some battles in the arena, which triggered a strong desire to be prepared for any upcoming or unexpected events, such as a duel. However, the arena battles also triggered a thought of upcoming War, from the ruler Drytas.
