@Marzyciel, HIII!! I finally found it and i am on the second chapter of rereading. Apparently, it is an AO3 Reylo Fic (kylo ren x rey) of star wars. And ive remembered lots of details wrong. The MMC (Ben) is also a cancer patient and does not have a sports injury. He is ten years older than FMC and while both are underaged, he only saw FMC (rey) as a younger sister and bestfriend despite the age gap. FMC is a v and MMC isn’t. And contrary to what i remembered, MMC doesn’t know that FMC is under the care of his uncle and wasn’t certain she is still alive.

THE FMC and MMC first meet at a hospital as a kid/teen
* The FMC was chronically ill/sick and spent a long time in the hospital as a kid or teenager.
* She met the MMC there when he was admitted because of a sports injury (not 100% sure about the sports part).
* The MMC was older than her.
* After he was discharged, he kept coming back to visit her regularly.
* I vaguely remember him asking his uncle to adopt her or take her in because she didn’t really have anyone.
* Years later, they reunite and she’s living with his uncle on a farm/ranch.
* She helps care for the animals and works on the farm with his stepfather/uncle.
* I think the stepfather/guardian encourages her to go back to the city/live her life.
* Pretty sure it’s a second chance romance and both MCs might be virgins
* Contemporary romance, emotional/found family vibes, probably KU/indie published.
I may be mixing up small details, but the hospital meeting + his family taking her in + farm reunion are definitely part of it.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
