Having your thought-dead husband stuck in eternal servitude would absolutely be enough motivation for murder. Unless Emory would instead try to destroy Abi to free him, which may be why the memory wipe happened—Abi valuing her own self over anybody else.

If Abi is connected to everyone through a fungus, is she a hive mind? A collective hallucination?

So Adil wrote the “Niema buried us. She’ll bury you too.” And it’s referring to the apprentices that did not die in a boat crash, but instead are actively working inside Blackheath. Right? Adil would still be there if not for whatever neuro disorder allows him to be awake and remember.

Did Seth see Matis’ memory gem and chuck it so nobody else would know what was said to him by Adil? Did SETH do this?
