I got this book impulsively when it was listed on the ChiPubLib app as a new book and the description caught my interest. The things I don’t like about the writing remind me of Japanese films, so are probably a translation and/or cultural disconnect. Nonetheless, I’m intrigued—and LOVED the section where Aisha describes her perception/ability (pg. 43-45).
