So far this book follows a very poetic story line, Robin Kimmerer is a wonderful author and narrator, I think it’s a very idealistic hope but she’s absolutely correct, small likeminded communities are wonderful at reciprocating aide in an environment that does not require funds to assist

Leah Baxter Great book for poetry but is very much the storytelling for small communities, I feel like there was a particular evident double standard following her neighbors Ed and Paulie (apologies if they are incorrectly spelled, audiobook listener at its finest), where they are investing in an emotional bond in hopes that it created a pull back for their neighbors and friends and their circles to use them for all of their farm needs. Profit and connection is a direct incentive here, invest in the community and they invest in your, this I feel is inherently not an incorrect thought. That’s a small non-monopolized business, with a defined ethos, pathos, logos, tied to their brand identity.

Now I also don’t have a degree in economics but her discussion connects to the direct beauty of living in a small tight knit community, but with a more socialist leaning mindset rather than even a democratic socialist system.
