Omg. The title made me stop in my tracks. Is it any good?

I've only read about 50 pages. So far, does a good job of introducing how pop culture is used for propaganda and how it operates in Indian context. Deconstructs the people behind the phenomenon.

It would have performed better as a longform piece, I feel. A bit stretched and over explained in places, might seem repetitive for those who follow news obsessively. There was little in the book that I didn't already know (except maybe the names of the H-pop stars in focus). Yet, important work. It is the need of the hour to put it all in one place and contextualize it. With global learnings.
