I never considered myself a fan of body horror, but I must admit... That one particular scene where plants feed on a man's spiritual energy, blooming rapidly inside his throat, until his head grotesquely explodes from the suppressing, sharp roots was- beautiful? Maybe not exactly beautiful, but certainly captivating and intense to read. I'm impressed.
