I'm really enjoying the story and the world building. I don't find the writing as "syrupy" as some people have claimed. I will say that Raeve can be a bit grating at time but I'm thoroughly enjoying the story so far.

I think this is one of those kinds of stories that will be even more enjoyable once you read it a second time.
