I completely understand that you had arrived 10 years before Yui, but did you really truly forget your sister?</spoiler> I am curious about when the passage will show back up for them like it did for Isla in book 1. What was the reason for Hiro to arrive in Tokyo when he did and for Yui in 1923?

Now I'm in part three and I find book 2 to have a completely different structure than book 1. They survived the Earthquake, now what? Shouldn't that be the end? They made it so a safe place where they can start over. Why has the passage not shown up for them?

This is starting to feel slower than book 1. I know this is only the arc and the published version is most likely different and has a different feel to it.
