Very sweet book. I love how core naïveté is to each of the characters, which becomes especially fascinating within a religious context which asserts everyone as God’s child… yet, this same naïveté is what prevents the religious aspects of this book from overruling everything. God isn’t real, but mythic, simply.

Would finish, but it just didn’t speak to me enough to stick with it.
