Just saying: I hate second person narrative (if I can even call it that. What is it called when the narrative addresses a "you" which is not the reader but explaining infodumping some back history of a character? Happens a few times.)
Hate it. This book is mostly third person PoV but now and then after a twist we got a "you" infodump history of some character.

It is weird how a lot of "fantasy" big releases is really YA fantasy under camouflage. I went and rechecked tags and edelweiss classifiction for this, and yep, this is supposedly "adult".
It feels very YA (we will see how it goes) but I do not mean it as criticism, it's fun and weird and snarky (maybe a bit too much). BUT YA in the same way DWJ or Ysabeau Wilce wrote...
