I have now finished House of Flowers. It was certainly a story I didn't think about too deeply. I could find more to it than the surface level storyline but it's hot and I'm not in the mood to think too hard.

Finished A Diamond Guitar. That was a saddening story man, Tico Feo as this encapsulation of freedom and the outside world to Mr Schaeffar who had been so used to the restrictions of prison life. It was very much reminding me of The Ballad of Reading Gaol at times, but THE BETRAYAL??? Yeah fuck you Tico.

I finished Breakfast at Tiffany's and it was complicated. I enjoyed her character as complex as it was, but the rampant casual racism and such from the time period is truly so jarring as someone who doesn't read a lot of older books or classics.
