Finished the Kwaidan part and really liked it. The last couple of stories were really interesting in that they seemed to directly compare Japanese oral folk stories with British ones, and the description of Horai had a lot in common with Avalon and Tir Na Nog and even Valhalla and Olympus

These stories are really cute, they’re so easy to read. To say someone gave this to me after finding it in a charity shop for pittance, I’ve done very alright out of it.
