Hadrian is getting closer to the doctor ouuuuuu. They’re bonding over their appreciation of the xenobites and Had’s fluidity with language helps. There was just a dinner scene that made me think of the one in Dune. We were introduced to a character, Lieutenant Lin, who right now is just another guest, but is to later become a great enemy of Hadrian. Hmmmm

This book keeps getting better and better. I love how he foreshadows many things but very subtly or without necessarily revealing anything. Like the moment when he « met » Doctor Onderra. Now the Cielcin has been sacrificed.

Had, or now Hadrian Gibson, revealed to Switch that he was a palantine, which didn’t sit well with him and they had a bit of a fallout. Later, Had managed to sneak to where the mysterious prisoner was held and it was in fact a Cielcin. Unfortunately, had ended up at the Counts office to be interrogated and he’s now serving as a sort of language tutor for his kids, becoming once again a prisoner.

There is possibly a Cielcin captured in the Colosso… Also Hadrian is looking for a ship. Things are moving.

Hadrian has volunteered for the Colosso to try and get off world. His few years in the streets really hardened him. You can really sense a darker shift in him.

I read a lot and didn’t check in on the app but in a GROSS summary, Hadrian lived a few years on Emesh as a thief since he couldn’t get a job anywhere. Loved as polly as one could with his gf Cat would died from the Gray Rot.

Well… Hadrian is COOKED. He woke up on a clinic bed without anything, not even his signet, after being dropped on a completely different planet without knowing how long he’d been out. He managed to escape the people who saved his life in fear that his blood would be traced and denounced. He is completely lost and alone. Holy shit.

Hadrian is off Delos! He’s on a ship with a few rugged traders.

His Mother!!! She’s helped him escape his was to Vesparad and go to Teukros to be a scholiast. He had a massive fight with his brother right before leaving. His relationship to his family is really sad.
