Life wasn’t about getting ahead, proving yourself, acquiring a nice house, a family, a job a taking the odd holiday…all of those things had you chasing after some kind of future happiness that never really arrived. The happiness everyone sought was here, now.

What a fleeting thing love was- and yet we would each of us sacrifice an eternity just to spend one moment longer in the arms of the person who possessed the key to our heart.
