Last summer I worked at a summer camp. When I got there, I never went through an orientation and just started acting as I normally would. The leadership didn’t like me. What followed was the most insulting, traumatizing experience of my life. I normally accept criticism and move on, they took that as the ultimate sign of wrongdoing. I can’t always assume that leadership will have my back.
