i like this concept of the law having power and justifying action rather than actions giving way to the power of law. it’s similar to how trumps voter base works where they support him in whatever he does because it’s the “right of the president to act in such manners” without thinking that the president should act in certain ways that make them deserving of that position. glad i’m finally understanding smt
