I described my visit to Capri, a place I knew she loved and which she had visited in 1947 - blue sea, sunshine, beautiful flowers. In my grandfather's home movie she blinked in the sunlight and smiled into the camera; a title appeared on the screen which introduced you to 'ever-smiling Betty'.
