The first chapter is sad. Nagi’s recollection of and interaction with her late mother at the Chibineko kitchen has me reflecting a lot on my own mother who passed less than a year ago. Nagi’s condition and attitude towards life also remind me of myself, sometimes wondering if life is worth living. We all need someone like Toshiya to bring light back into our lives.
