She must’ve started thinking about my dad because she laughed and said, “He didn’t own a thing. Not one item to his name except for a toothbrush he kept in his pocket.”
I thought about this for a moment. A toothbrush? I guess that would be one thing a drifter would need if he wanted to keep his teeth clean. It made sense. A drifter would need a toothbrush, money, and identification.
