In general I avoid obvious fairytale retellings. If it markets itself as a telling of a popular childhood story I’m familiar with I pass. ImHowever, I do enjoy this author’s work. I preordered the audiobook & am keeping my 🤞 fingers crossed. I hope the fact it’s paranormal keeps it from being too on the nose.
