Christ on a bike this is hard work. So much for introducing Albert Campion, he’s not really the main figure in any way. The author himself describes him at various times as inane, vacuous and fatuous, with a falsetto voice. I just want to smack him every time he appears in the story, and my brain cries a little every time the narrator does his voice.
