I have considered abandoning this book, as I found some topics upsetting, acts of cruelty to animals and historic sexual abuse. I am disappointed with this Erica James novel for these reasons, I did not sleep after reading about these instances. I have enjoyed reading so many of her novels and I feel I want something happy, inspirational or light hearted to read. We have newspapers and tv for issue-led topics.
