ok NOW I'm invested. The first 50% kinda reminds me of when I first watched Game of Thrones and I was like "Why do people like this show with all this debauchery and incest" and THEN the story happens. This is probably a terrible analogy to make but that's how I feel like we got through all the foul gross shit, and NOW the story is happening. Also I never mentioned it but Brom's illustrations are AMAZING!!!

There's like 3 stories being told: Peter's present (kidnapping kids), Peter's past, and the children in Avalon. TBH I only really care for the children, Peter's past is also interesting but what Peter does during the present is actually kind of boring. Honestly my rating rn at the halfway point is a 2.5/5

This is so WEIRD makes me feel like I've never read a horror book in my life before lol
Also I'd be very happy if breasts weren't mentioned for the rest of the book I'm already tired of that 😒

I was expecting this to be dark but like dark as in murder and kidnapping NOT SA 😭
