I'm taking a break from this one and honestly don't know if I'll pick it back up. I love Mihalik's Sci Fi, but the tropes in this romantasy have been done to death and I can't hang. My issue with the constant retelling of powerful fae/shadow daddy + spunky human woman is that it makes these characters incredibly uninteresting. Tropes are used as a crutch instead of committing to real character development.
