So glad the hype made me read this. As an ex-Evangelical I have complicated thoughts about Natalie.

So glad I picked this up at my university’s library. Already taking mental notes for the review/response I want to write. Half of it is going to be me as a “raised-Evangelical but now queer and spiritual but not religious” woman thinking through how Natalie’s experience and world were similar to and also markedly different from my own, and the compassion that is not excuse that Burke has toward her.
