It is told from 2 perspectives in two different times. One is of a girl in Sudan in 2009 and the other is about a boy in the same place in the 1900's. The girl's story is about how every day she has to walk really far to go and get water for her family while the temperature is high and the water is bad. The boy's is about the war and him moving around trying to find his family through the desert.
