I’m loving that this is clearly brandon’s first book—not in the way that it’s poorly written but instead in the way that this book is the template for every book of his to come. religious turmoil? check. girl who doesn’t fit in? check. grumpy old guy as the mentor counterpart to our main sunshine boy? check. a lot of drama with gods? check. I could go on. but I’m enjoying myself thoroughly
