As a reader reading mutiple Jeffrey Dahmer books I have to say yes he did know what he was doing was very wrong or else he wouldn’t have covered his tracks from the police for so long. Yes he did have murder on his mind when he was out in public because if we didn’t forget he wanted to kill that jogger before he committed his first murder. I also think he knew that drugging his victims was illegal and amoral
