I typically love Alison Weir’s work, and her way of objectively describing each person. However, for the first time maybe ever, I’m super dissatisfied with her retelling, specifically the negative opinions of French royals. She seems to be passing Isabeau of Bavaria’s postmortem slander as fact, when it’s been continuously reported it is lacking sufficient evidence.
