horrible at establishing ethos. any good writer should be capable of showing and proving something to the reader, establishing trust. in the context of the book’s premise and genre, the author is heavily overreaching by telling the reader everything as a concluded fact and even worse, drawing into the future.

this is getting very hard to tolerate. i may have overestimated its capacity.

i tried at first to be very open minded when reading the ebook version but i couldn’t get myself to continue after chapter 3 so now i’ve turned to the audiobook.
unfortunately or fortunately, this has done me and the book itself, a massive disservice.
how there is still so much left is beyond me. this contrived and pretentious piece of pseudo-intellectualism and “worldly experience.”

i tried my best to be open minded the first time around when i was reading the ebook and it was tolerable enough and i suppose there were some parts here and there that were amusing.
still, i could not get myself to continue after chapter 3 so now ive turned to the audiobook; this has done both me, and the book itself, a great disservice.
an exposition-laden, pseudo-intellectual, and pretentious piece.
