Saw some reviews online saying that Demi and Hunter are kind of forgettable as a couple and I'd definitely agree; nothing about them as individuals or as a couple really out. After the 75% mark I could've stopped reading and been perfectly satisfied tbh, just overall pretty disappointed with this one. Even The Mistake was better :(

All of the books in the series have their corny moments but this one was the ENTIRE COBBB omfg the psychoanalysis was actually too much
I also really did not like her tempting him to break his celibacy. EK tried to frame it as consensual and acceptable but tbh it was definitely toxic, she should've left him alone D: all the complaints aside, ig the first half was fun, and the arc with her father was cute

very mixed opinions...this is definitely the worst book in the series. something about their dynamic was significantly less interesting than all the other couples. Their chemistry was not particularly believable and I found myself not really caring about whether they were together or not. the portrayal of Demi as an emotional Latina felt a little .. racist ? I also hated Nico and TJ, they both PMO
