I like the internal monologue of the Wife throughout this whole chapter. I don’t know what I’d do in her shoes — she’s a better woman than I am, probably.

That said: what’s stopping her from taking that risk?!

Ah. This part of the story. Not my favourite.

But that aside—Nina’s writing is fantastic! It’s like I’m in Frankie’s shoes. After several pages I felt I needed to take a step back lest I get caught up in all that drama (which I eventually would be, if I wanted to finish the book!) 😆
