I'm starting to feel like 400 pages for this book are definitely too much. I'm almost half and, well, nothing really happened, life went on as usual.

Right now, for the rating, I'm wandering between the 3 and 4, but I'm even open to a 4.5 or 5 if the books finally picks up the pace and does something instead of listing what the characters do for, apparently, no reason at all. It's starting to be a bit boring and I would hate for that to happen. Let's hope for the best, because it would be a shame.

This book is ok, but it isn't a horror; there's not even much tension of suspense. There is no, of few, humor; that feels like not doing anything. To be more clear, the humor the sellers talked about is the writing, not enough to be a horror. It is still a good book, pages are flowing, but the story still hasn't picked up, and yes, I have to admit that the storeys feel like two separate novels, not connected (sadly).

This author is able to create incredible suggestive environments to communicate the feelings of fear, despair, loneliness, confusion, stubbornness, evilness, kindness and love (warm).

She killed everybody in the cult and went looking for the guy who initiated her to it. Murdered countless people and would have continued until she found the "general" (the guy who initiated her to the cult), but she didn't because the police shot her down at 26 years old.

I am confused about Cal's character. From what I understand, she was abused as a child; in many ways. That drove her crazy and without realizing it, joined a cult. She thought she had a divine mission, that would secure her a place in heaven, but she didn't (at all).

I think Mickey is queer or something, cause she feels uncomfortable in her own body, and she acts like Ruth is amazing in a, what looks like to me, romantic way.

Holy guacamole! Pey is Philip??? ( I think so) I'm so shocked right now. I didn't see that coming.
