I’m so sorry to say this because I really wanted to love this book, but it feels so fucking pretentious… It has so many elements I’ve already seen in other books, yet somehow it doesn’t fully manage to blend them into a cohesive story. Even though I could be really invested in it, reading it feels like a roller coaster and not in a good way.
