I haven’t loved a book this much since the Practical Magic series. It completely swept me away from the very first page. Brackston has such a beautiful way of writing magic it feels ancient, emotional, and deeply real rather than overdone or cliché. What I loved most was how the book balanced mystery, heart, and spellbinding folklore with characters that felt authentic and easy to care about. 5 stars
