Cheryl Carey Hope enjoy this as much as I did Diana.

It was was one Pulitzer Prize winner that I agreed with 100%

Sometime ago I belonged to a virtual book club where we read nothing but Pulitzer Prize winning novels. I was drawn into the club when I saw they were reading my favorite author Colson Whitehead winner of two Pulitzers:
The Nickel Boys and
The Underground Railroad

Each month we were encouraged to read 2 books by each author but were asked to read at least one.

We read some good books and read some that were real stinkers.

Sadly our incredible moderator passed away RIP. It was quite a ride as she not only moderated but educated as well. We watched movie clips and eductors clips and we were taught how the Pulitzer Prize came about.

Well I waxed long.

I listened to the audiobook which I found quite compelling. I read David Copperfield in conjunction with reading Demon Copperhead.

Enjoy your next read!

Kristine Yes, I agree with Cheryl, this was an excellent book. It also won the 2023 Women’s Prize for Fiction which is my favorite author event. At times I needed to pause as it gets really heavy at points, but always routed for Demon. She lives in Appalachia and her heart and soul is in this book. I have several other books by Barbara Kingsolver to read now. Interested to see what you think. Glad to have you as a new book friend 😊📚

Diana Gray Thank you Cheryl and Kristine! It’s been a great read so far. I managed to pick it up at a little free library and it looked interesting.

Love the Little Free Library. I buy books for our Community Library and Volunteer at a Used Book Store, so if you ever need a book, let me know and I’ll get it for you.

Cheryl Carey What a great score from the little free library. I would have been dancing/and or singing all the way back from the kiosk had I found that one!
