Sentimental Education is one of those books that has somehow slipped through my memory. I know I've read it, yet what remains is less a recollection than a faint atmosphere. Every now and then I think I should give it a second chance and see what I missed the first time around.

Out of curiosity, have you read The Temptation of St. Anthony?

I have a new edition to read. It will be a second reading.

I started reading it today, and I'm already a hundred pages in. It's probably going to be one of my favorite reads this year. Everything about it is phenomenal. I haven't read 'The Temptation of Saint Anthony' yet, but it's on my TBR, especially after starting 'Sentimental Education', it reignited my love for Flaubert.
