omg anne of cleves had a sister named amelia that henry could have married... scary to consider

insane to complain about your new wifes "body odor" when you have a years-old rotting wound on your leg

so obvious that henry said he loved jane seymour the most - he didnt have time to invent reasons he hated her before she died!

i have to confess something... i thought it was woSLey and not woLSey for this whole book, and all of wolf hall when i read that. i have a real issue with names i guess

i didnt expect to get so invested in this book! and im really excited when im done to read her book about elizabeth i and finish the wolf hall trilogy - i might have to start over tbh

its infuriating to me that katherine is "approaching forty" and therefore a barren old hag, but henry was in his prime in his mid thirties. so they're the same age?? not mad at the author just at misogyny in general

to me it says a lot about many things that henry was in mortal fear over the 'sin' of marrying his dead brothers wife, but was totally fine with having extramarital affairs with two sisters back to back. like yeah ok
