It took me 2 years to read this but it was worth the wait. I struggled to get into it at first but then switched to the audiobook narrated by Cherry Jones. Sometimes I had to pause what I was doing, close my eyes, and truly savor the language. The characters are complex, but I finished with a deep feeling of love and compassion for all of them. Book hangover alert.
