This author is desperately trying to make Shade/Shadow seem less rapey... unsuccessfully. Yikes. Why is consent such a difficult concept to some of these authors?
Either the FMC is in her right mind or she's not. You can't write it like she's been magically roofied, losing time, against what's happening and fighting against her body's reaction... then sloppily write that she's lucid and aware right after. ffs
