The police commandant has been found dead with a head wound in a filled well. Also the richest homeowner in this border village has gone missing after seemingly releasing all of the foxes he owned. Turns out the main character teaches English one day a week to elementary kids nearby.

So far two of the village’s inhabitants have died in the night. Both events are linked to wildlife. The protagonist is very into astrology and believes the animals are taking revenge.
