59% of the way through this book… the tension between Mabel and Maverick isn’t overly exciting. We get this far of the way through and it’s Mabel “confessing” to Maverick, Ellie doesn’t have a Dad because of a one night stand. Why’s that such a big deal when Maverick is the one that left?? And also, it was years after he left. Argh.. don’t know whether to DNF this one..
