And to see how courteous Cui Buqu actually is towards people who are competent and also respectful. It made me love him so much more. Sure, he's arrogant and kind of a dick, but also just.
Also, loved Feng Xiao getting humbled at the end, honestly deserved 😌
The plot itself was also great, starting with the escape from Thirteen Floors of Yunhai to the Guanqian County political schemes, loved it all.

Definitely my favorite book in the series so far. The relationship between Cui Buqu and Feng Xiao grew so much on me. I liked their dynamic before but now I adore them together.
I also really liked to see Cui Buqu interact with other characters other than Feng Xiao. It was great to see how other characters viewed him, hated him first, and then grew to respect him because of his determination and strong character.
